First Aid Training has changed!

HABC Level 3 Award in First Aid

The qualification and assessmnent for First Aid training no longer comes under the HSE and has been replaced by: which is a three day course. The requirement for an external assessed practical application and theory examination has been removed, reducing the stress of having to demonstrate techniques. The tutor carries out a continuos assessment of your abilities throughout the course.

First Aid at Work - 3 Day Course only £150 per delegate

The former HSE First Aid at Work course has now been replaced by a Level 3 HABC qualification. It is designed to provide students with a sound level of knowledge to deal with First Aid Emergencies in their work place environment.

The law requires employers to have a suitably qualified first aider available to their work force at all times (the amount of first aiders is dependent upon the risk assessment and number of employees.) Such persons must have attended Level 3 recognised First Aid at Work course.

Delegates will cover the following subjects:

  • Rules and regulations
  • Safety at the scene
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
  • Unconscious casualty
  • Wounds and bleeding
  • Burns and scalds & clasification
  • Injury to bones, muscle and joints
  • Crush injuries
  • Shock – Recognising Strokes
  • Eye injuries
  • Poisoning
  • Transportation of casualties
  • Child and baby CPR
  • Minor illnesses
  • Senarios

Course Duration / Qualification
The course is usually delivered over three consecutive days (24 hours of training). It can also be broken down into smaller modules, for example one day a week over three weeks.


The course meets the regulations laid down by law. It gives the successful students a level 3 HABC qualification.
